About

United Against Poverty Orlando is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives in Central Florida by helping individuals and families move from crisis to long-term economic stability. Founded in 2003, the organization provides essential support through crisis care, case management, food and household assistance, employment training and placement, personal empowerment programs, and referrals to collaborative social service providers.

With a mission centered on offering a “hand up” rather than a handout, United Against Poverty Orlando empowers people to build confidence, develop skills, and access the resources needed to create a more stable future. Through its programs and community partnerships, the organization continues to serve thousands of Central Florida households each year while working to break the cycle of poverty and strengthen the local community.
